These two capstans were commissioned as an interpretation for the larger anchor, previously installed in 2010. They are etched with the history of traditional and contemporary industrial history and feature genuine anchor chain of the type used by the Titanic’s anchors. Installed with granite cobbles and period landscaping they were an immediate hit locally.
