Private Gounds - Shatterford – Worcestershire

These four supporting buttress’ are made in the style of the Great Exhibition of 1851 and are bespoke pieces for an anonymous client who’s enthusiasm for the industrial aesthetic and preservation of tree’s are equally dominant in the design of this piece.

The pieces are structural supports for an ancient pear tree which collapsed following a freak storm. The artworks serve the practical function of keeping the tree alive whilst acting as an architectural backdrop for the private gardens. Who knows, they might even end up on an album cover?
