St Peter's Weather Vane – Cradley – Steel and Gold – Summer 2022

This piece of heritage craft is a replacement for the original weather vane lost in storms in the early 20th century.

Made from solid 50mm steel bar section and created using a mix of traditional and modern techniques the piece is clad in 24 carat gold leaf and was installed by crane to the joy of the congregation.

It has become a local symbol of past heritage and modern metalworking in the area.
